China's recently unveiled 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) places strong emphasis on advancing technological transformation, driving the digital and intelligent upgrade of manufacturing, and promoting the development of smart, green and service-oriented manufacturing models.
Against this strategic backdrop, the 138th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, has launched a smart healthcare zone for the first time, attracting 47 companies specializing in surgical robots, intelligent monitoring, wearable devices, and other high-value segments.
This zone aims to showcase the prowess of Chinese companies in smart and service-oriented manufacturing, and establishes a professional platform to connect global supply and demand in the smart healthcare industry.
Inside the zone, the atmosphere is dynamic — international buyers lean in to analyze real-time data from monitoring equipment, while visitors line up to experience auxiliary robots, with the detailed explanations of staff intertwining with the gentle hum of machinery.
At the booth of Hefei Zhongke Radio Sensing AI Technology, a palm-sized device became an immediate focus for buyers. “This is our non-contact heart health monitor,” said Zhang Dong, the company’s general manager. “It requires no electrodes or wearable attachments. By simply placing it beside the bed, it provides continuous, accurate heart health tracking throughout the night.”
The monitor captures body signals through electromagnetic waves, capable of promptly detecting heart health conditions such as atrial fibrillation and premature beats. It can also analyze sleep apnea indices and assess overall sleep quality, suitable for both daily home monitoring and early-stage community health screenings.
A buyer from Singapore praised that this device allows users to monitor their heart health at home anytime, making it extremely convenient and practical.
Zhang added that the product’s core technology — globally pioneering non-contact electromagnetic ECG detection — recently won a gold medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Invention of Geneva. It has caught the attention of global medicine giants like MedEx and AstraZeneca, with multiple overseas clients proactively seeking collaboration.
“Canton Fair is an important window for us to access the global market. We hope that through this platform, more countries will see the solid strength of Chinese medical technology,” he noted.
At the booth of Zhongshan-based XSTO, a highlight is the company’s newly launched embodied mobile auxiliary robot X13. “While it may look like a standard wheelchair, it’s actually a fully functional all-terrain mobility assistant,” explained Zhao Yong, the general manager.
The robot’s key innovations lie in its adaptive design. It features a wheeled quadruped chassis paired with a dual-track crawling system, which automatically switches operating models to navigate stairs, slopes and uneven surfaces smoothly. Its body supports one-click folding for easy storage, and can be equipped with ramp components to simplify getting in and out of vehicles.
A senior buyer from Southeast Asia tested the robot. After pressing the “climb mode” button, the device steadily ascended the simulated stairs in the exhibition area.
“Beyond cost-effectiveness, we’ve focused on details to meet overseas needs,” Zhao said. For example, the robot features adjustable seats tailored to the body proportions of European and American users.
Though the X13 has only been on the market for two months, its orders are booked until early next year. “Canton Fair gathers professional buyers from around the world. We’re confident our innovations can connect with a much broader international market here,” Zhao noted.
At the booth of Shandong Jite Industrial Technology, a smart lower limb rehabilitation robot demonstrates its technological prowess through live interactions.
Zhang Naijun, the company’s general manager, guided a buyer with leg mobility challenges to use the robot — it steadily supported the buyer’s body, while its mechanical joints synchronized precisely with his steps, assisting him in completing smooth walking.
This robot is priced from 10,000 yuan ($1,406) to 20,000 yuan, significantly lower than comparable products on the market. “Our core goal is to make medical technology available to ordinary families,” Zhang Naijun said. The device features dual control models of voice command and handle operation, with plans to add autonomous navigation to further enhance convenience.
This marks Jite’s first appearance at Canton Fair. “The smart healthcare zone is highly targeted, attracting professional buyers in the industry. The fair not only helps us build brand awareness quickly but also provides a direct bridge to overseas markets, offering tangible opportunities to expand our international business,” Zhang Naijun noted.
